Mark Shorrock

Co-CEO

Mark brings world-leading project development and implementation experience to rePLANET. Mark has developed 1.6GW of renewable energy infrastructure
projects worldwide, including projects in the UK, Spain, Vietnam, Indonesia and South Africa. His work spans 3 continents and includes the formation and scaling of 7 separate infrastructure development teams.
Mark’s love of the natural world saw him quit Hollywood film production in the 1990s to deliver some of the UK’s earliest wind and solar farms. He went on to open up the option of nuclearscale tidal power through the permitting and funding of a world first project that redefined the role of a power station in
its local ecosystem and local community.
Mark has spent the past 6 years applying this experience to renewable energy and sustainable development infrastructure delivery in Europe, SE Asia and Africa. Throughout his career, he has developed projects of a scale and quality to attract leading global infrastructure and institutional investors. He has also presented his projects and ideas to individual governments, at UN Climate Change Conferences, and to the European Union’s informal meeting of
energy ministers.
Mark joined rePLANET in 2025 to scale the project portfolio and oversee its delivery. Having secured growth funding from fellow world-renowned entrepreneurs with backgrounds in renewable energy, technology and bio-tech, he now leads rePLANET’s negotiations with infrastructure investors and
corporate carbon investors.
