• Complete a Biodiversity Futures Initiative stage1 application to agree the taxa, methods and sampling strategy for quantifying biodiversity in the proposed valley.
• Build a budget with your team that will show the investment ask needed, and the benefits to the landowner.
• Help to raise funds for the initial investment needed to get this project started
• Help your team build a data room for the biodiversity data collected using the BFI approved approach to verify the baseline status of the area
• Help your team in subsequent surveys that are quantifying the uplift compile data rooms for stage 2 BFI applications to verify the gain.
• Explain how to list and retire the biodiversity credits
• Help to sell the credits

This work is completed in exchange for 5% of the biodiversity credits as they are issued and a commission on any income raised to help start the project. The stage gating for these projects is simpler than for carbon because the sums being risked are significantly smaller.
